YoPO – movement, mindfulness and lifestyle for wellbeing programmes.

YoPO provides movement, mindfulness and lifestyle resources which can be added at a low cost to employee or member wellbeing programmes as part of the tool kit to help the user remain effective and engaged.

The content is particularly relevant to desk workers or other workers whose jobs don’t entail much movement and provides suggestions that can be integrated into the working day, with many that take a minute or less.

YoPO provides a way for wellbeing programme providers to differentiate their offerings and to demonstrate ongoing innovation of services provided.

Post pandemic, employers face challenges around hybrid working, flexible working and employee retention and YoPO helps providers of wellbeing programmes to respond to the changing environment.

Our vision

… is to bring accessible physical and mental wellbeing practices to busy people in a way that fits seamlessly into daily lives.

We do this by providing access to content including illustrations, animations and videos, all with explanatory text and by organizing this content into sequences and courses aligned with wellbeing themes.

The content forms a tool kit that can be drawn on to provide short or micro moments of movement and mindfulness in a way that is unique to the needs of individual and their circumstances on any given day.

Founder

Helen is a qualified accountant with many years of experience in the insurance sector, including a business start up – and so has spent a huge amount of time working at a desk in demanding roles.

“I’ve been a yoga practitioner for many years, and as a desk worker tried to attend classes regularly and also went on a number of yoga retreats in the UK and abroad. In daily life it was always difficult to find the time to fit yoga in between work and home responsibilities and although the classes and retreats were enjoyable, it was difficult to maintain the benefits when back in the real world. I found the need to remain static at the desk for long periods of time increasingly challenging as I got older and I also suffered from debilitating effects of stress and overwhelm from time to time. I gradually began to experiment with integrating short or micro yoga breaks into daily life to support my wellbeing and found that if I was consistent this could have a huge impact. The YoPO content is built around the elements of this practice model that I, and friends and family testers who are non yogis have found most accessible and effective”
