Teaching arrangements

YoPO provides a platform for independent, self-employed yoga teachers to offer live online yoga classes and workshops. All teachers on our platform are certified with internationally recognised yoga bodies. The teachers are wholly responsible for the content of their classes and dealing with any issues arising that relate to the instruction provided during the class or to the class content. YoPO is responsible for the booking and payments system and for the livestreaming facility. YoPO accepts payment for classes as agent for the teachers and retains part of this payment to cover the costs of services provided by YoPO. Some of the teachers who provide classes on the YoPO platform are brought to YoPO by a studio, where they provide classes in person and/or online, and in this case YoPO’s contract is with the studio rather than the teacher. This has no effect on the terms and conditions which apply for YoPO customers.

Medical and Health conditions

If you are in doubt about any health or medical conditions, you should always seek the advice of your doctor before starting or changing any exercise routine. This is especially important if you are overweight, pregnant, nursing or regularly taking medications, or have any existing medical conditions. Our independent teachers, any studio providing or introducing teachers and YoPO, are not qualified to provide medical advice or make medical diagnoses. If you are concerned about whether any pose or exercises in the class are right for you, please do NOT do them until you have spoken to your doctor. Some of the classes will involve rigorous exercise. We suggest you exercise in a large well-lit area that is free from obstacles and that you wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement. If during the class you feel dizzy, faint, light-headed or if you experience any discomfort please stop immediately and consult your doctor. Only you can take responsibility for monitoring the well-being of your mind and body during the class. We suggest you never force or strain to get into a pose or practice and you work within your own limits.

In selecting a class please ensure you select a class that is within your capabilities and respects any conditions or limitations you may have both physically and mentally.

Liability waiver

The independent teachers, any studio providing or introducing teachers and YoPO are not responsible for any injuries you may sustain as a result of, your use of these live streaming classes, please note, you participate in classes at your own risk.
