Yoga Bites – Days 6-7

 

On days 6 and 7 we hope that you are having a break from your desk and getting active in your own way. If you do have to spend time at the desk you can of course repeat any of the Yoga Bites and Yoga Sprinkles from the last 5 days.

If you are able to find some quiet time for yourself, we recommend either or both of these two videos to help you to feel calm, relaxed and centred

Review and reflect

After 5 days of building yoga into your working week, now is a good time to review what you have done and what you have enjoyed or not enjoyed.

Questions to consider:

  1. Which poses/practices felt beneficial – mentally or physically? What benefits did I notice?
  2. What would I like to do more of? Or less of?
  3. Has the introduction of yoga bites and sprinkles made any difference to my effectiveness at work or how well I have coped with my working week?
  4. Were there any poses/practices that I wasn’t able to do because of circumstances, eg working in the office with others or because of the clothing I was wearing?
  5. Could I make any changes to my working set up or to clothing that would make it easier to fit yoga bites and sprinkles into my working day?
  6. Did the morning/lunch/transition/sprinkles format work for me or would I prefer to consolidate my yoga practices into longer sessions?
  7. Did I prefer working with the illustrations and written advice or with the videos?
  8. Am I able to make time and find quiet space for the 20 to 30 minute breathing/meditation practices? If not what changes could I make to facilitate this?
