Calms the mind, improves focus and concentration

Preparation

Choose a quiet space where you can sit comfortably on a chair or the floor, light a candle and set it up to be at eye level 2 to 3 feet away.

Practice

Gently gaze at the candle flame, focusing on its centre. Breathe naturally and try to maintain focus. When your thoughts wander, bring your attention back to the flame as often as you need to, without judgement or frustration.

Duration

Start with 5 minutes, then extend for longer as you wish.
